Job Title: Cashier
Location: Manteca, CA
Job Summary: A cashier is responsible for taking orders in person and over the phone, handling financial transactions, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring an efficient checkout process. This role involves operating a telephone, cash register, managing cash and card payments, and assisting customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take customer orders in person and over the phone.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other forms of payment securely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Keep dining area clean between orders.
- Assist in other tasks are needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
Work Environment: Typically involves standing for long periods and interacting with a diverse customer base. May require flexibility with shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
