Job Title: Cashier

Location: Manteca, CA

 

Job Summary: A cashier is responsible for taking orders in person and over the phone,  handling financial transactions, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring an efficient checkout process. This role involves operating a telephone, cash register, managing cash and card payments, and assisting customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take customer orders in person and over the phone.
  • Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other forms of payment securely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Keep dining area clean between orders.
  • Assist in other tasks are needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.

Work Environment: Typically involves standing for long periods and interacting with a diverse customer base. May require flexibility with shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
